The event would be called Heroes.

the event will be held at Warhammer World, Nottingham.

The dates for the event are the 7th to the 9th of may.

ARMY SELECTION

All current in print codex's will be playable, less any that are released less than 2 weeks before the event, in this case you will have to use the old codex for this event. this may seem harsh but it is to give all of our people a fair chance at having read the latest codex's and to see how they work.

you may take upto 1750pts in your army.

special/named characters are allowed but you may only have one in your army. i.e. if you take knight commander pask you may not take Iron arm strachan as well

no character will cost more than 225 pts.

armies listed in the Apocalypse expansion may be used ie the death corps of krieg, red scorpions, elysian drop troops, and vehicles/units from imperial armour apocalypse second edition, may be used. If you do so you must bring the rules for these units/armies with you or they will count as normal units of their type. AND NOTHING WITH STRUCTURE POINTS!!!


The event format is

DAY 1
0830 doors open registration begins
0915 registration finishes
0915 0925 briefs
0930-1200 game 1
1200-1250 lunch
1300-1530 game 2 after set out armies for painting nominations
1530-1600 break
1600-1830 game 3
1900-2000 evening meal

DAY 2
0930-1200 game 4
1200-1250 lunch and painting award nominations.
1300-1530 game 5
1530-1600 break
1600-1615 prize awards
1615-1630 check handover to help for heroes charity (Co's speech)
1630-1700 egress warhammer world.

GW Events are going to provide a small admin team to help run the event, (which should comprise 1 or 2 individuals for collating results with the relevant IT packages to support this).

For catering the standard meal setting i.e. 2 lunches and 1 evening meal, would be provided. Anyone with special dietary requirements must tell us in advance as the details need to be forwarded on to GW well in advance of the event.

breakfast if you wish it is availiable at either the accomodation site (pay as you dine), or at Warhammer World.


The accomodation will be provided for the event.

transport to the event will be at own expense (though if your unit wishes to provide transport then so much the better)

The tickets will cost £65.00 per person a breakdown of this is provided.

we are trying to negotiate a better deal in regards to the meals but we'll have to see what happens
GW have agreed to give us one of their painting trophys,

Help for Heroes charity requirements.
Help For Heroes charity will be contacted and requested to provide collection buckets with the appropriate logo for dissemination through the event this monies shall be collected in addition to the check presented on the day.

Henry, this is andy Rutter im in the Signals at blandford. im friends with Coley and Shaun Robson. im very much up for this event. i am pushing this out down here and on to the 2 linked forums we have.

Just registered so I can keep tabs on any developments.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the time off, looking forward to it.

I just registered to keep an eye on it too. I'm currently based at Wittering (near peterborough). Hopefully I won't be in training when the event happens.
