1,750 finshed list

ive crawled my way up through making 750-1k-1.5k lists to get to my final 1,750. i will probably only play the 1750 once and then make my way up through playing the lower standing lists and taking dave's advice of learning the army through lower point games. My 1,750 of the moment consists of:

Hq
- Librarian, psychic powers, sanguine sword + wings
wargear: terminator armour + storm shield


Elites
- 5 assult terminators
wargear: thunder hammer and storm shields

- 3 sanguinary priests
wargear: 2 jump packs

- 5 sanguinary guard
wargear: chapter banner


Troops
- 10 tactical squad
wargear: missile launcher + flamer

- 10 tactical squad
wargear: lascannon + plasma gun

- 10 assault squad
wargear: none


Dedicated transport
- razorback
wargear: none


Fast attack
- 4 land speeders
wargear: 3 typhoon missile launchers


Notes: the librarian will be put in with the assult terminators as per wings of sanguinius. 2 of the 3 land speeders, with typhoon missile launchers, will be in a squadron, while the last 2 roam as indepent as each other (except in kill points were it will be 2 and 2).
any help with anything good or bad about this would be really apprtiated

Having 2 tac squads I would suggest 2 transports. Gives you the ability to get either a mobile chunk of cover or a fast claiming unit.

I dont know how your Sanguinary guard play but I would go for some Vanguard for arrival assaults. Being able to assault the turn they arrive is pretty nasty. Especially if you drop an assault squad in support with melta weapons. This puts 2 units right in your opponents face and 1 unit is straight into combat so cant be shot. Against a stand off shooting army (Tau and Crons) this can be devastating if you hit the right place!

I would like to see your expansions kinda like this:

This totals out at 1750 points and can be utilised from any point after the 750. This allows for me to tailor my list depending on what I think I may face at lower points costs. I can also expand upwards by adding troops and another squad of destroyers.

3 priests, 2 with j/packs?

Not got the codes so...

Do they run as a single unit?
If son, you can't make use of j/packs until non j/pack guy is dead or is there some other upgrade that allows the 3rd guy to move 12"?

no, i cant rmember how i did this exacly but i believe i put the none JP one with the libby and term squad so they all get feel no pain and get to use wings of sanguin

so, although 1 elite choice, they can be deployed seperately?

yes, there all independent charecters but can be bought in squads of 1-3

Are you trying to use wings as a squad effect? If so you need to re-read buddy cos wings ONLY effects the Libby and is not a squad effect. You would be a hell of a lot better taking Blood lance and Sword of Sang.

There's your problem ... read, don't rely on what you're told!

And by my maths, you're 50pts short too.

Down side to termies is that they can only consolidate in combat so your opponent can always get away if you win combat and they fail the LD.

Just a little question Ali but WHY ARE YOU NOT READING YOUOR CODEX AND THE CORRESPONDING RULES IN THE BRB so that you know what your stuff can do? Dont take anyones word for it because other people DO NOT know! Especially Henry (no offence mate I know you know loads but your not infallible)

Build a list, come up with the concept for your games, re-read your list, check what special rules you have for your army and check any USRs that come froom them. Its quite specific in the codex that Wings only affects the Libby.
