Since i saw the kill team mission in the battle mission book, and that stephen wants to play a game of it, i've been making a kill team. But i then when i put down the specialists down, i just had to start making fluff for them.

At the moment, only what models i'm going to use and One of the models actually has been done.

I should Say that This team will be from a Raven guard company, So i'll be using the blood angel's codex (just for a cheaper heavy bolter) But i won't bother with the Red thirst rule (like i remember to use it anyway!)

General Idea of the fluff behind this is while a section of a raven guard company were Infiltrating corrupted a hive city, trying to minimize Civilian casualties, Another chapter arrived and proceeded to blast the ever-loving crap out of it, leaving only a few survivors. In high orbit, a chaos vessel came and blew up the raven guard's ship, and tying up the other marine's vessel. The whole point of the mission: To kill the daemon prince inside the city.

And the one character done so far:

Name: Carisus Dalton
Unit: Terminator
Personality: Watchful, Helpful, Paranoid
Added Detail: Claw and blade markings everywhere, Right shoulder pad replaced with Dreadnought pad, Medical System attachments and tubes.
Background:
After the brutal destruction of the company, Carisus was Separated from his squad due to the multiple lance strikes. This lead to his armour being badly damaged, meaning that to keep it operational, he had to scavange parts for it. His armour being more advance however, due to an operation he took part in a few decades ago, striking against a chaos vessel of Nurgle. However, due to the deadly toxins aboard this ship that could defeat even a marine's rugged systems, The armour had to be modified in case of any breakage on board. The system would regulate the blood and quickly flush out any toxins, allowing them fight without choking to death. Luckily for him, the lance strike had not rendered the system inoperable, it actually saving his life from it, as it activates chemicals for the body to withstand explosions and severe heat. He trawled the ruined city, until he was found by another survivor, Dante Bloodblade, Who was rounding up survivors for their, possibly Final, mission.



And that is all that has been done at current date! Most likely start ordering Boxes and Bits for them at some point, but shouldn't need too much (lovely lovely bits box).

Any comments or glaringly obvious plot-hole, please say!

Interesting.

Its good to see some fluff about stuff that is going to be used in the club!

Well, in general, Everything i field will have some fluff behind it before i use it. For instance, My 1750 Semi-competitive List is actually part of a Raven guard company, betrayed by the imperium and forced on the run, until meeting my marines and joining forces, becoming a sub-section.

Onto project news: Bits have been ordered for the team. Got the vet upgrade pack from Forgeworld and various bits from Bits and kits, so hopefully by thursday, they should be here!

It is indeedy, i'll only have to proxy one model (that's the terminator, but even then, it's only the chain fist)

In other news, Dante Bloodblade has been made! Not painted mind you, and i can't seem to find my camera at the mo, but i'll get onto it tomorrow.

So how is the kill team build going then?

I am figuring out how to put mine together and keep them as regular looking stuff too, I am planning on using the sniper rifle from the command squad sprue but keep it as a long las but in normal games he will just have a normal lasgun.

Well, Dante Has been built, a scout chainsword converted into a power sword via combat blades. Bolter on his base with a scrap of rhino hatch and a peice of a frame of sprue on his base as well, considering it's meant to be an urban kill team. Painting will get underway when i have my paints (Glaring at Stephen).

Also Dave, i've got some guard bits so if you need any, just ask. They're Cadian though.
