Good game Chris, I think when expanding the list(s) emphasis needed on keeping units in combat - unbreakable, steadfast, etc.

Have to try greatswords next time ... stubborn - always use unmodified Ld, and put in a couple of Warrior priests - battle prayers - choice of re-roll wounds, 5+ ward for unit or special flame attacks!

I figured a unit of greatswords with 2 detachments (detachments gain stubborn) and a priest for extra robustness/punch and stick a priest on a horse along with a unit of inner circle knights. Add some archers and a helstorm and that's 2000pts!

Skaven would have to get the Grey Seer (level 4) on screaming bell plus Cannon, actually I've got some plague monks I've not tried yet... mmmmmmm!

haha that sounds good, some units that can actualy fight rats without craping them selves and running, blatant lots of things that the skaven can use to kill them selves

wp battle prayers are done in magic phase (and made wizard L2 as well) so more things to dispel/go wrong too but counter that with L4 seer and L1 engineer who are almost as likely to blow themselves up.... you know it might have to be monks instead of cannon... we'll see!

Prayers are Bound spell, cast on 3+ and can be dispelled as per normal casting. Unit and detachments within 3" gain choice of re-roll wounds, 5+ ward for unit or flaming attacks + instant S4 (S5 if undead) hits on models in base conact with WP. Probably cast on 1D6 unless really desperate for that 5+ ward save so not likely to go horribly wrong but will be easy to dispel so order of casting 2 L2 spells and 2 WP prayers would be much more important!
