The Forgotten Hunters Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Forgotten Hunters   The Forgotten Hunters EmptyMon Oct 10, 2011 4:30 am

Awesome, Copy pasty from what i've done beforehand:

Introduction:

The imperium is vast in the Galaxy. But they do not have the entire galaxy, as its many enemies strike from all angles and fight for planets and star systems. Tyranids attack in their mighty swarm from another galaxy, Orks rampage throughout the galaxy, the forces of chaos Strike fear into the citizens of the Imperium, the mystical eldar traverse the galaxy, The dark eldar pillaging and slaughtering what they want, The necron menace rising in number and the upstart tau expanding. The imperium takes many cruel and harsh precautions against these. It’s no wonder why People flee for a safer, kinder place…

And near the eastern fringe, lay such a place. Consisting of a Handful of planets and star bases, there is the Traianus Federation. This Federation is mainly a political one but do not control the Armies defending them. They are defended by the Strong, Unbreakable Rebel Group of Imperial guard. To add to the Impressive force, The Immortal Chapter of The Forgotten Hunters Guard the Federation, Refusing to let a force claim a single planet. With these Armies, Little can get through but there are many enemies, all wanting the pearl inside the clam…

History:

The Forgotten Hunters are not a rouge or renegade chapter, Turning from the emperor’s light. Neither are they followers of the dark gods of chaos, Following Corruption and pain. Even though a Chaos Demi-god started the Chapter, They did not follow blindly and set a path for themselves. Four thousand years have passed since they were created but only one of the original marines is left to tell the tale.

An energy brew in the warp at the age of strife, were many betrayals took place from a friend backstabbing one to an entire planet destroying their allies. It began to grow confident of its power as more dark energy was fed to it. Though when the God Emperor began his Great Crusades, the Demi-god’s power Dwindled. It hid in the warp, Preying on small daemons and avoiding the large. It waited patiently as it overheard the four chaos gods forming a plan: A great Betrayal.

An explosion of power occurred when the Horus Heresy unfolded. Its stature grew immensely and became one of the Lesser Chaos gods in its own right. It called itself: Vendomalum. But no, it did not stop there, it enticed the daemons of the warp to join it in its conquests. From the mighty bloodthirsty bloodletters of Khorne to the Pus-filled plaguebearers of Nurgle. It seized a small section of the galaxy and built wastelands and controled over the people there. This continued up until the 37th millennium when it grew tired of being complacent with its demonic empire.

It made its way into the minds of many space marine apothecary’s minds and promised power and glory in exchange for a service. They were to take several gene-seeds from the gene-bank and bring them to its empire. Many resisted but alas, the weak willed followed, blinded by power. The librarians eliminated the apothecaries before they could succeed in their dark mission. Unfortunately, not every single one was…
An Apothecary from the Raven Guard chapter and an Apothecary from the newly founded Dark Hunters Chapter succeeded, only to be slain by mind-controlled troops. Vendomalum began Extensive Modification on the gene-seed and mixed the two together. It smiled as it began to bring forth test subjects, ready for its very own space marine legion to burn the galaxy in flames.

Over one hundred men had the organs implanted inside them. Only twenty of them survived the process. The days went by, the Dark Daemon Vendomalum watch their progress when it could. It did not however, discover a Mutation to the gene-seed which caused a small organ to form next to the brain. It caused the presences of the individual to be masked in the warp and renders them invisible to Psychic users. When it realized this, it commanded them to be killed.

Because of this organ, The Initiates had begun to formulate a plan to escape as their minds were free from the foul and evil presence of Vendomalum. The Pulled out their makeshift weapons and killed those around them but eight were killed in the battle. The Initiates snuck there way out of the demented lab and found the space port, escaping the Planet and became free for the first time in their lives.
They approached a desolate planet near the eastern Fringe and set up a small camp. A battle had been fought there Decades ago but because there was no life on the planet, the bodies of the fallen were still there. A marine chapter had fought there and suffered many losses there. The Initiates Scavenged some Carapace Armour, Weaponry and power Armour for when their bodies were ready.

They traveled around the Galaxy, Convincing and transporting people to the planet. Years passed and soon it became a city and the Initiates became full space marines and with their numbers growing, they decided to contact the Imperium on their success. This was a bad move however and the Chapter paid for it in blood. They left a small number of them, less than thirty, on the planet to defend against any attackers.

The rest of the marine force went and contacted an imperial word, only to have the inquisition arrive and inspect them. Because of the taint left by the chaos Demi-god, The Inquisitor Cyrus Declared them heretics and the stationed Space marine chapter engaged the Hunters in battle. Many Hunters Died and only one ship returned back, containing less than ten marines. The leader of them was Highlander Suicune, and he now knew of the cruelty of the Imperium. In the battle, He was able to Take Records of the Imperium.

Since then, they became a secluded chapter. They grew in numbers again and became as big as any other Chapter. Highlander leads them in the defense of the Federation and Believes that The Imperium is no better than the Chaos god. The Federation grew in power and became a small empire, Becoming a Major thorn in the Imperium’s side. As for the Inquisitor Cyrus, He passed down the knowledge of the survival of the chapter and asked of each acolyte to destroy them. And since then, it had been passed down till the current Era.

Recruitment:

The Forgotten Hunter Recruit From Each planet they protect. The Forgotten Hunters Protect the world from the horrors of the galaxy in exchange for a tithe of Recruit and Manufacture of their equipment. They have been Known To Accept Disgraced or Renegade Marines. One such example is a Pack who has come from the Raven Guard Chapter. Regardless though, They must start as part of a Seeker Squad and work their way up. Their gene-seed however, is not taken otherwise it may be mixed with the Forgotten Hunter's Gene-seed stock.

Home planet:

Technically, Their home world is on Aretu III which is within the, now destroyed, Demonic Empire of the Chaos demi-god of Betrayal. Though in their Records, They class their Home world on Theranthine which is the Eastern Fringe. Because of that though, They are attack by many Tyranid splinter fleets and Many wormholes big enough for a Battle ship dip in and out of existence nearby. There are seven other planets in the system and four others are Inhabited and Protected by the Forgotten Hunters.

So that would be my Space marines. I'll write out my Guard (who are actually Mercenaries) and my Knights later at some point.
